Hello and welcome to my crochet world! My name is Ana-Maria, and I’m a self-taught crochet designer from Romania. I work out of my home studio where I live with my husband and our rescue rock dove, Gigi!

I love designing modern colorwork pieces with thoughtfully constructed fabrics. My work focuses particularly on crochet techniques that allow you to work with a single color at a time, with interlocking crochet at the heart of many of my designs.

I’m especially passionate about transforming these richly textured, reversible fabrics into size-inclusive garments and accessories that are made to fit real bodies. All of my garment patterns are carefully graded to fit actual bust circumferences of at least 60 inches (152 cm).

I’m best known for my contemporary approach to interlocking crochet, bold color choices, and clear, meticulous instructions designed to make complex techniques approachable for all skill levels. I authored two crochet books all centered around interlocking crochet, titled Interlocking Crochet (published in May 2026), and Reversible Crochet Sweaters (published in November 2025).

I’m a firm believer that any complicated thing is always easy to learn if explained well. Everything is simpler when you break it down to its smaller components and simplify them until they become something you already know.
