The Pattern

The Color Clash Cushions will add a bold pop of color and texture to your home décor!
They are a fun, flexible project that invites you to create one-of-a-kind cushions bursting with personality. Designed to fit pillow inserts measuring 14 x 14in (35 x 35cm) for the smaller size and 17 x 17in (45 x 45cm) for the larger one, these covers are both eye-catching and practical.
The dimensions are easy to adjust, making it simple to customize the pattern for different sizes or shapes of inserts. Mix and match your favorite color palettes or swap in different stitch patterns from the book to create your dream throw pillows!

Materials

Yarn

Worsted weight.

Feel free to experiment with different yarn weights! Depending on your yarn type, your finished measurements and yardage will vary.

Fiber

Cushion covers are a wonderfully forgiving project when it comes to yarn choice, and this pattern works beautifully in a wide range of fibers.

Cotton is a practical and popular choice for home décor, easy to care for and available in a rich variety of colors that suit the bold, graphic nature of this design.

Wool brings warmth and texture to the finished cover, making it a lovely option for a cozy living room setting. A wool-acrylic blend is equally at home here, offering durability and ease of care without sacrificing stitch definition.

Since color contrast is central to this design, prioritize that above all else when making your selection. The bolder the contrast between your two colors, the more striking the finished cushion will be!

Notions

Scissors, yarn needle, 2 stitch markers, sewing clips or safety pins.

Hooks

US H-8/5.0mm (main gauge) hook, US G-6/4.0mm (secondary) hook, or sizes needed to obtain gauge. I’m a tight crocheter, so you may have to go down in hook sizes.
