The Pattern
The Equilibrium Sweater is all about thoughtful structure. A design where every line has purpose and every detail works in harmony.
Worked seamlessly from the top down, this raglan-style sweater features striking chevron details created through carefully placed increases and decreases. The lines meet at precise angles, forming subtle arrows that shape the garment while adding visual rhythm.
On one side, the vertical pattern elongates the silhouette; on the other, the horizontal stripes offer a softer look. The faux icord edgings around the collar, cuffs, and hem give a refined finish that complements the structured geometry of the fabric.
With its customizable length and relaxed fit, this piece can be dressed up or down, making it perfect for everyday wear or special occasions alike. If you enjoy the construction and clean symmetry of this design, you’ll love its sister-patterns too, the Equilibrium Beret and Equilibrium Cowl.

Liyan (fairydustwork on Ravelry)
Size 2, using 650 yds of Princess Milk Cotton as MC, and 500 yds of Princess Milk Cotton as CC
Hook size(s): 3.25 mm
Mods: I added a row of single crochet stitches and dec at the 4 corners before going to the neckline stitches and made additional decreases while making the neckline to make the neckline fit better. For the hem at the bottom of the sweater, instead of using 0.5 mm hook size smaller, I used the same hook size.

Zohnette (Queen4christ on Ravelry)
Size 2, using 872 yds of Premier Wool Select in Purple as MC, and 804 yds of Woollymamayarns in Desert Bloom (75% SW merino, 25% nylon) as CC
Hook size(s): 3 mm; 3.5 mm
Mods: I omitted the first decrease in the sleeves and followed the others. It allowed for more space at the top part of my arm. I also made my sleeve length shorter by 5 rounds.
