What you'll need
Hobbii Alpaca Silk held together with Hobbii Friends Kid Silk, or any other fingering weight yarn held together with a strand of mohair, or any DK weight yarn you can meet gauge with, in the amounts shown below
Your 4.5 mm hook or size needed to obtain gauge. I used my Clover Amour hooks
Tape measure, scissors, darning needle, 6 locking and numbered stitch markers, 2 more stitch markers

The Dewdrop Sweater
Introducing the Dewdrop Sweater ā my first collaboration with Hobbii yarns! This cozy and oversized sweater is available as a free pattern, and it is aimed at advanced beginners and intermediate level crocheters alike.
But just because it’s a free pattern, it doesn’t mean it’s in any way different than my regular, premium patterns. It includes the same level of detail and step-by-step photos, and it’s been tested by a team of 25 talented crocheters (scroll down to see the tester lookbook)!
Through this collaboration, I hope to encourage more and more crocheters to try their hand at making garments and see for themselves how easy it actually is!
The Dewdrop Sweater is a testament to the beauty of nature translated into fashion. Imagine a lush forest glistening with morning dew ā that’s the essence captured in every stitch of this exquisite piece. Worn with 6″ to 12″ (15 cm to 25 cm) of positive ease around the bust and written for 10 sizes, this crochet sweater features a raglan yoke construction worked seamlessly from the top-down. Short rows raise the back neck, providing a proper fit at the shoulders. The sleeves close in around the wrist in a bubble, and the ribbed hem, cuffs, and turtleneck are added last for extra coziness.

For my sample, I used the following yarns:
Hobbii Alpaca Silk in colorway Provence (16)
70% Alpaca, 30% Mulberry Silk
50 g / 1.75 oz = 166 m / 182 yds
held together with
Hobbii Friends Kid Silk in colorway Lavender (73)
72% Mohair, 25% Silk, 3% Wool
25 g / 0.9 oz = 200 m / 218 yds
I also used my Clover Amour 4.5 mm hook. I’m a tight crocheter, so you may have to go down in hook size!
Measurements
This sweater is designed to be worn with 6-12″ (15-30 cm) of positive ease around the bust. When choosing a size, find your actual bust size (measurement a) by measuring around the fullest part of your bust while wearing any undergarments you plan on wearing under your crocheted sweater. The finished bust/hip circumference (measurement b) will be larger by anywhere between 6″ to 12″ (15 to 25 cm) than your actual bust measurement. The model has a 40″ (101 cm) bust and is wearing size 4 with 12″ (30 cm) of positive ease around the bust.
Measurements in inches
a. Actual bust range: 28-32 (32-36, 36-40, 40-44) (44-48, 48-52, 52-56) (56-60, 60-64, 64-68)”
b. Bust and hip circumference: 40 (44, 48, 52) (56, 60, 64) (68, 72, 76)”
Measurements in cm
a. Actual bust range: 72-82 (82-92, 92-102, 102-112) (112-122, 122-132, 133-143) (143-153, 153-163, 163-173) cm
b. Bust and hip circumference: 102 (112, 122, 132) (142, 152, 163) (173, 183, 193) cm
All the other measurements such as upper arm circumference, yoke depth, etc. are inside the free pattern!
The pattern is written and color-coded for 10 sizes as follows: 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) (8, 9, 10) corresponding to XS (S, M, L) (XL, 2X, 3X) (4X, 5X, 6X) on the CYC Woman Size Charts.
You’ll need the following (approximate) yardages for each size:
10 (11, 12, 13) (13, 14, 15) (16, 17, 18) skeins of Alpaca Silk, and 9 (9, 10, 11) (11, 12, 13) (14, 14, 15) skeins of Friends Kid Silk.
Or, if you’re substituting yarn, you’ll need 1800 (1945, 2120, 2240) (2345, 2500, 2710) (2865, 3050, 3200) yds / 1645 (1780, 1940, 2050) (2145, 2285, 2480) (2620, 2790, 2925) m of any other fingering weight yarn held together with a strand of mohair, or any DK weight yarn.
